First up was the cinema release that everyone has been talking about, Star Wars: The Force Awakens. This is Episode VII of the Star Wars franchise and everyone was hoping it would get the franchise back on track after the not-so-well-received prequels. The team all remember the release of the original trilogy and were eagerly awaiting this release, would their expectations be matched?

The home release was the sci-fi/arcade gaming crossover movie, Pixels. The film was directed by Chris Columbus and starred Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Peter Dinklage and Josh Gad amongst others. Would this bring happy memories of 80s arcade gaming, or would it just be another typical Adam Sandler movie?

The classic movie for this episode was Flash Gordon, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary in December 2015. This film was not universally well received upon its original release but has gained a somewhat cult status in subsequent years. Would it be an across the board hit with the team?

Our next main podcast will take a look at the new Leonardo Di Caprio movie, The Revenant, for the cinema release. The Home release will be the Brian Wilson biopic, Love and Mercy, and the classic film will be the Paul Newman and Robert Redford film, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
