For the first podcast of 2015, and for the first time since we started the podcast, we were able to welcome Michael back to Cambridgeshire and record with us all together in the same room. To celebrate this fact we added a segment at the end where we look back at our personal highs and lows of 2014 and a look forward to what 2015 might bring.
In a slight change to the normal format, we contrast Ridley Scott’s Exodus: Gods and Kings (the cinema release) with Cecil B DeMille’s The Ten Commandments (the classic). Could the new film ever hope to stand up to the classic? Has everything been explained by a head injury? As usual, there were a range of views.
The home release looked at this month was Luc Besson’s Lucy. Was this a return to form for Mr Besson?
In another slight change in format, due to a lack of good home releases in the UK market, we are going to look at two cinema releases: Inherent Vice and Jupiter Ascending. The classic film will be Dune.
