Hello and welcome to the second installment from the London Film Festival. This episode covers the red carpet from the Film Festival Awards and also the new Steve Jobs movie.
Red Carpet – Film Festival Awards (Time Stamp: 0m13s)
The awards ceremony was held at the Banqueting House that is situated on Whitehall in London. Cate Blanchett was receiving the BFI Fellowship (presented by Sir Ian McKellen) and I managed to get a few words from her. I also managed to speak to David Sington (Director of The Fear of 13 in the documentary competition), James Kent (Director of Testament of Youth but at the film festival as a Juror in the First Feature Competition), Allen Leech (best known for his work on Downton Abbey but here as a Juror in the First Feature Competition), Amanda Nevill (CEO of the BFI) and Clare Stewart (BFI Festival Director).
Steve Jobs Film Review & Press Conference (Timestamp: 9m00s)
I was lucky enough to see a preview of the film and I give a quick review here. I was also able to attend the press conference and the podcast includes some clips from this. In attendence were Danny Boyle (Director), Aaron Sorkin (Screenwriter), Michael Fassbender (Steve Jobs), Kate Winslet (Joanna Hoffman), Jeff Daniels (John Scully), Michael Stuhlbarg (Andy Hertzfeld) and Katherine Waterston (Chrisann Brennan). The press conference was very interesting and funny throughout but please be aware it does include some strong language. If you would like to hear the complete press conference you can do so by going to http://backtothefeaturepodcast.com/full-press-conference-for-the-steve-jobs-movie/.
